Wojciech Kotala
Wojciech Kotala provides comprehensive tax and regulatory advice to businesses from many sectors of the economy, including in particular the fuel, chemical and FMCG sectors. He is particularly interested in VAT and excise duty, as well as regulations related to trading in energy products, including licensing obligations, creating and maintaining mandatory fuel reserves, paying reserve fees, as well as implementing the National Indicative Target (NCW) and blending.
Wojciech also conducts court and administrative proceedings related to tax, customs and regulatory obligations incumbent on entrepreneurs. He has been involved in many projects, including for the largest Polish companies, related to determining the tax consequences of domestic and foreign transactions. He works closely with industry organisations representing entrepreneurs, including those from the fuel and liquid biofuel sectors. He is the author of a number of publications in the trade press.
Wojciech has over 20 years of experience in tax consulting. He started his career in 2003 and has since worked for leading international consulting firms. He spent the first 7 years of his career at Deloitte, followed by 7 years at the law firm DLA Piper. In 2015, he founded Cabaj Kotala, where he is a partner and member of the management board.
